OUR STORY

On a crisp and magical Christmas season in Calgary, Gianna Isabella Magliocco received an unexpected phone call. The voice on the other end? Disney. They were looking for a local producer and had reached out to ask if she could recommend someone. Seizing the moment, Gianna offered herself for the role.

When asked if she had a production company, her heart raced—she didn’t. Thinking quickly, inspiration struck. Having recently watched The Terminal starring Tom Hanks, in which his character finds refuge at Gate 67 of JFK Airport, she blurted out the name, hoping it wasn’t already taken (it wasn’t).

Disney entrusted her with producing the VFX Plates Unit for A Wrinkle in Time, and just like that, Gate 67 was born—a Christmas miracle and the start of an extraordinary creative journey.
